    Canon U.S.A. today introduced the latest addition to its award-winning imageFORMULA lineup, the Canon DR-M140 Document Scanner. The performance-driven DR-M140 scanner can process up to 6,000 scanned documents per day. The scanner maintains speeds up to 40 pages-per-minute1 /80 images per minute in all modes, including color, and holds up to 50 sheets in the Automatic Document Feeder. For convenience, the Canon DR-M140 has front loading and front eject that allows users to easily scan documents without a lengthy tray. The scanner also incorporates a control panel that enables easy access to pre-programmed scanning tasks, and a Double Feed Release button on the scanner body to allow users to handle special documents such as envelopes.

    In a compact package, the Canon DR-140 scanner incorporates advanced capabilities to address widespread needs, such as its two feeding paths. The default U-turn path is used for typical jobs, while the straight path can be selected to handle items such as thick or thin documents, long documents, and embossed plastic cards. This out-of-the-box design makes it ideal for space-constrained office environments in any industry. The Canon DR-M140 has improved gradation levels and capabilities such as Background Smoothing and Shadow Cropping for reliable and accurate scanning for superb output. The new imageFORMULA DR-M140 document scanner is available immediately through all authorized Canon resellers for approximately $1,195.
