Asus today announced the launch of the Eee PC Seashell 1201PN—a netbook designed for users looking to have a compact and mobile machine that delivers a multimedia. The Asus1201PN comes with the Intel Atom N450 processor and next generation NVIDIA ION graphics to draw viewers into a world of mind-blowing Full HD 1080p visuals. Asus Eee PC Seashell 1201PN has the largest screen ever to be featured in the Eee PC range. Its 12.1”, 16:9 widescreen high definition plus display delivers visuals at resolutions of up to 1366 x 768. With HDMI compatibility and virtual 5.1channel SRS Premium Sound, it reinforces the fact that the Asus 1201PN is designed to deliver audio-visuals never before experienced throughout the entire Eee PC range. The 1201PN can also be hooked up to HDTVs via the HDMI port to deliver Full HD 1080p videos with true-fidelity 7.1 channel audio.
The user can pinch zoom in and out of images, or even rotate them with just two fingers. Scrolling through webpages is a breeze too, with just a simple act of gliding fingers over the multitouch touchpad. The Asus 1201PN comes with Bluetooth V2.1 to let the user Skype or listen to music wirelessly, or synchronize with Bluetooth-equipped mobile devices. When it comes to surfing the net, this functionality also lets the 1201PN log onto the net by tethering through a 3G Bluetooth smartphone. The 1201PN also supports the 802.11n wireless standard.
