Fujitsu Hong Kong Limited today announced the launch of the PRIMERGY TX120 ultra-compact size server. Currently the world’s smallest footprint server (395cm²), the PRIMERGY TX120 is about the same size as a slim tower desktop PC, featuring the new “straight-line cooling” method and low power consumption. With a 75% reduction in volume and 66% reduction in footprint compared to current tower servers, two of these ultra-compact size servers can be installed in the space where a conventional-sized tower server once fitted.Additional benefit of the Fujitsu ultra-compact size server includes best-in-class low power consumption at 175W even in the fully equipped configuration by the use of the latest low power consuming CPU, Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 3070 (2.66GHz) / 3040 (1.86GHz) and 2.5″ SAS hard disk drive, attaining the world’s highest standard in energy-saving.
The PRIMERGY TX120 ultra-compact size servers highly applicable to a wide range of distributed and SOHO workspaces, including retail in-store, back office servers and small office servers, as well as SMEs.
