GIGABYTE unveils new BRIX Extreme mini-PC with latest 12th Gen Intel Core Mobile Processor

GIGABYTE today announced the all-new 2022 BRIX Extreme mini-PC series, which adopts the latest 12th Gen Intel Core Mobile Processors. The latest 12th Gen Intel CoreMobile Processors highlight 7nm technology, and when compared to the previous generation, these new processors feature a 10% increase in GPU performance, 24% increase in multi-threaded performance. GIGABYTE’s new 2022 BRIX Extreme design integrates four display outputs, including HDMI 2.1, USB4, 2.5G Ethernet, plus the latest WiFi 6E configuration, creating the most powerful multitasking mini-PC with astounding performance and responsiveness for either gaming or content creation.

GIGABYTE’s R&D team efforts allow the new BRIX Extreme with the 12th Gen Intel Core Mobile processor to integrate comprehensive functions within its compact size (44 x 134 x139 mm). The 2.5G Ethernet design paired with WiFi 6E configuration reduces the risk of disconnections while increasing the flexibility of the network. Supporting an integrated TPM module, the new BRIX can provide hardware-level security and system protection by avoiding data leak from decryption.

GIGABYTE’s latest BRIX Extreme provides two types of versions, a Slim version and a Tall version. The Tall version is for enabling additional storage capacity that allows users to install a 2.5” SSD/HDD. The new upgrade kit features an I/O expander for adding a second LAN connection, a RS232 communication port, and a M.2 2280 slot. Combined with different I/O outputs, the mini size BRIX systems offer unlimited possibilities. Bundled with a VESA bracket, BRIX can easily be mounted behind a monitor.

The new BRIX mini-PC natively supports four 4K/60P display outputs via 2 x HDMI, 1 x USB-C DisplayPort, and 1 x mini-DP for the best in monitor compatibility. Furthermore, the new BRIX is equipped with the newest HDMI 2.1 technology. With new HDMI 2.1 standards, BRIX will deliver up to 8K resolution to your display or TV to enlarge your imagination with stunning image quality.

When testing in the GIGABYTE Sound Lab, this all new 2022 BRIX ran at an almost undetectable sound level below 20dB, and that low noise level is maintained even when running heavy workloads where the sound level is still under 30dB.
