Panasonic announces worlds lightest mobile PC with 15.6-inch screen

Panasonic will launch in Japan on March 11, CF-B10 mobile computer with a 15.6-inch screen under its Let’s note brand. Panasonic CF-B10 mobile computer is the world’s lightest computer with that display size with a built-in optical disc drive. The screen of Panasonic CF-B10 can be subdivided into up to four sections in a total of 10 formations so that users can display several types of documents at the same time. The weight of the computer has been reduced to around 1.88 kilograms through the use of high-strength magnesium, making it possible to use thinner parts.

Computers with 15.6-inch screens usually weigh 2.8 kg on average, according to the company. Panasonic expects to retail CF-B10 with 500GB HDD, 4GB memory and powered by Intel iCore i5 for about 175,000 yen ($2130), in Japan.
