Toshiba has launched a new range of entry-level USB 3.0 flash memory USB drives that are two times faster than preceding USB 2.0 drives. The new Toshiba TransMemory drives meet user needs for storing music and video content as well as for high-speed data transfer between digital products. Three writable stickers will be included with the drives so that multiple USB drives can be easily distinguished from each other.
Measuring just 55mm by 18mm by 8mm, the new Toshiba TransMemory drives are powered by a USB port and are fully backward compatible with Hi Speed USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 standards. The TransMemory drives have been optimized for use with Mac OS X 10.6.6 and higher, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1.The new Toshiba TransMemory drives will be available with capacities of 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
