Canon Announces PowerShot SX740 HS Digital Camera Featuring 40x zoom lens and 4K video


Canon today unveiled an ultra-compact long-zoom camera the PowerShot SX740 HS. This compact camera replaces Canon SX730. The new PowerShot SX740 HS digital camera boasts a 40x Optical Zoom Lens (equivalent to 24-960mm), a 20.3 Megapixel CMOS imaging sensor, flip-up LCD and 4K video capabilities, which is a first in the PowerShot series.

The new PowerShot SX740 HS digital camera features a DIGIC 8 Image Processor, dual-sensing image stabilization, automatic image transfer, feature assistant. The 3.0-inch flip-up LCD screen rotates 180 degrees.
The PowerShot SX740 HS helps make transitioning away from smartphone photography fun and easy. With high-speed continuous shooting up to 7.4fps, an ergonomic design and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology,user can easily capture life’s greatest moments with the PowerShot SX740 HS.
The camera measures 110 x 64 x 40 mm (4.33 x 2.52 x 1.57″), weighs 299 g (0.66 lb / 10.55 oz) and is available in two colors – silver and black. The PowerShot SX740 HS will be available in August, in silver or black, at a list price of $399.
