Canon today announced the advanced amateur ILC camera EOS M6 Mark II. The EOS M6 Mark II ushers in the next generation of Canon APS-C sensor cameras and is designed to fit the needs and preferences of a variety of photographers taking into account their skill level and subject matter. Bringing the controls and functionality of a Canon EOS DSLR into a compact mirrorless camera, the EOS M6 Mark II is destined to wow advanced-amateur photographers.
The EOS M6 Mark II’s 32.5 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor capture superb 32.5 megapixel images packed with detail and atmosphere, even in low-light thanks to a max ISO 25,600 sensitivity. Crop, process and resize while maintaining image quality. At the heart of the EOS M6 Mark II is the DIGIC 8 processor, which not only controls how the camera operates but also processes image data into JPEG, RAW or Compact RAW files, enhancing and maximizing image quality as it does so.
The EOS M6 Mark II can capture 4K video at up to 30p and Full HD footage at frame rates up to 120p. 4K time-lapse reveals the subtleties of motion on a completely different timescale. A large buffer and UHS-II card support allows 54 frames in JPEG and 23 frames in RAW or 36 in CRAW. The optional HF-DC2 electronic viewfinder features a 2,360,000 dot resolution and 100 per cent coverage. The EOS M6 Mark II includes Canon’s Dual Pixel AF with Eye AF Servo to help ensure images are in sharp focus and a 3.0-inch, touch-panel LCD screen with tilt-option to help ensure a user’s portrait or selfie game is and stays on point.

The EOS M6 Mark II is scheduled to be available late September 2019 in both black and silver for an estimated retail price of $849.99 for body only, $1099.00 for EF-M 15-45mm f3.5-6.3 IS STM and EVF-DC2 kit and $1349.00 for EF-M 18-150mm f3.5-6.3 IS STM and EVF-DC2 kit.
