Canon U.S.A. Announces All-Weather CR-X500 4K UHD PTZ Camera
Canon U.S.A., today announced the versatile CR-X500 4K PTZ Camera, a successor to Canon’s well-established BU-47H HD PTZ camera. Targeted to bring outstanding image quality at 4K resolution for outdoor use by broadcasters, cable networks, sports stadiums and for weather and traffic monitoring, Canon’s CR-X500 4K PTZ camera is IP-55 rated for dust and water resistance and is equipped with powerful features and functions. The camera features a 15x 4K UHD lens with an optical 35mm equivalent zoom range of 25.5-382mm. When the camera is in FHD mode, operators can use the camera’s 4K multi-pixel sensors for up to a 30x advanced zoom.
The CR-X500 PTZ produces incredible 4K image quality with the combination of a 1” CMOS sensor, Dual DIGIC DV 6 image processors and 15x Optical 4K UHD Zoom lens. These core components provide the image-processing power and speed that enables 4K UHD video at up to 60P over 12G-SDI and precise focus with Dual Pixel CMOS AF. The sensor’s 3.2μm pixel pitch combined with dual DIGIC DV 6 image processors produces improved signal-to-noise ratio from previous HD models and a minimum subject illuminance of 3 lux.
The Canon CR-X500 4K UHD PTZ outdoor camera supports Canon Log 3 for color grading and a wide dynamic range gamma of 800%, as well as image quality mode and adjustment functions to enhance an operator’s image customization capabilities.
