The bright f/2.8 NIKKOR lens combines with Nikon’s high-performance CMOS sensor to deliver perfectly sharp vistas and dramatic compositions. Thanks to the 170-degree angle of view, you can capture every element of your mission: it’s easy to get yourself or your team in the frame too.
The 1.5 in, 340k-dot LCD monitor makes it simple to confirm camera settings, check compositions, or review images. And the supplied ML-L6 Bluetooth remote makes it easy to control the camera when it’s attached to a compatible mount: you can even operate this remote when wearing gloves.
Electronic Vibration Reduction (e-VR) dramatically reduces the effect of camera shake, and the camera boasts a built-in stereo microphone. You can record at depths of up to 10 m underwater without housing. The camera is Bluetooth enabled and fully compatible with Nikon’s SnapBridge 360/170 app and KeyMission 360/170 Utility.
Nikon has introduced a wide range of optional mounts and accessories designed to push the limits of the cameras across diverse activities. For hands-free shooting, the Vented Helmet Strap Mount, Chest Mount and Surfboard Mount ensure every moment is captured. Also the Handy Grip is available to prevent the user’s body from being caught in the frame during handheld shooting. The KeyMission 170 accepts micro SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards and will be available in October for approximately $399.
