Samsung launches world’s first digital camera with 4G wireless LTE connectivity

Samsung on Thursday launched world’s first digital camera with 4G wireless LTE connectivity. The Galaxy camera is equipped with Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, enabling users to use various apps just like a smartphone. Samsung Galaxy camera sports a 16.3 megapixel backside illumination (BSI) CMOS sensor, and a 4.8-inch touch screen display.

The camera ia available in Korea for approximately $701. Users need to subscribe to network service separately if they want to make full use of the LTE function, which makes it possible to send or upload photos on the Internet straight from the camera.
