Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD 1000 world’s smallest and lightest Full HD digital movie camera

070830-03.jpgSanyo today launched the world’s smallest and lightest compact-sized Full HD recording (1920 horizontal resolution and 1080 vertical resolution) digital movie camera DMX-HD1000. The new Sanyo Full HD Xacti DMX-HD 1000 has also adopted the increasingly popular MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compression format for recording video, enabling up to approximately 43 minutes of Full HD (1920 x 1080) recording onto a 4GB SDHC Memory Card. The newly developed high speed image processing engine utilizes Sanyo’s proprietary codec enabling Full HD compatibility with the H.264 format. The new high speed image processing engine uses approximately 4.2 watts of power, allowing the battery to be used for up to approximately 2 hours of continuous use. Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD 1000 adopts newly developed 2.7 inch 230,000 pixel, Widescreen TFT-LCD monitor compatible for viewing in HD mode. Also the automatic Face Chaser Function for still images is capable of handling up to 12 independent faces when photographing groups.

The Xacti HD1000 sports a 10X optical zoom lens, captures four-megapixel still images and features an image stabilizer for stills and video. Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD 1000 measures 90×54.5×112.6 mm, weighs approximately 311g (including battery and SD card/).The Sanyo Xacti HD1000 will be available in September for $799.99.
