Sony Mobile today unveiled hand free voice activated new form of communication- Xperia Ear XEA10. With the dedicated Xperia Ear app users can connect each other wirelessly via Bluetooth to corresponding smartphone with the app installed. Sony Xperia Ear XEA10 provides a natural voice communication and intuitive operability by voice or head gesture. By attaching Xperia Ear to the ear, users can send and receive calls and messages without taking the smartphone out.
The combination of proximity sensor with Sony agent technology, confirms that the Xperia Ear XEA10 is attached to the ear. The device informs about new messages, missed calls, schedules etc, without using the smartphone, just use voice commands. This is very useful when you are driving or in a meeting etc.It can read out the weather forecast, you can hear in the voice information such as the latest news and also supports reading Twitter tweet.
By voice instruction for the information you want to know, you can hear in the voice of the search results of Wikipedia. Navigation is in conjunction with Google Maps, to set the destination by voice, after selecting a route in the smart phone, you can hear the instructions of the directions in the voice. The built in acceleration sensor and a gyro sensor allows user can give instructions with head gestures. If you keep the neck straight, it will read all the messages such as the Facebook Messenger, etc and if you shake the head it means No. You can directly reply by voice. It is also possible to read the received E-mails also.
Sony Xperia Ear XEA10 comes with an earpiece and arc supporters for fixing in the ear, as the ear size and shape. Xperia Ear XEA10 is compatible with Android 4.4 or above, Bluetooth profile: A2DP, AVRCP, HFP. The ear plug weighs approximately 6.6g and the charging case about 39g. The device ia available in Japan for approximately 20,000 yen ($193).
