Mitsubishi Electric announces new high vibration resistance Tough Series TFT-LCD Modules

Mitsubishi Electric announced today the coming launch of a new Tough Series TFT-LCD modules─a WVGA model for wide-ranging applications in construction, agricultural vehicles, factories and more. The module comes in 7.0-inch (AT070MP11) and 8.0-inch (AT080MD11) versions. The modules features vibration resistance up to 6.8Gs─seven times that of conventional modules. High vibration resistance of 6.8Gs is suitable for equipment subject to strong shocks, such as construction, agricultural vehicles and factory-automation machines. The new module features market-leading operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, compared to -30 to 80 degrees Celsius for conventional products, suitable for outdoors and in vehicles used in extreme environments.

Super-wide viewing angles of 170 degrees, both horizontally and vertically, ensure excellent visibility for off-center installations. Sales of 7.0-inch Tough Series TFT-LCD module will begin from March 31, 2017 and 8.0-inch from April 30, 2017 through Mitsubishi Electric offices worldwide. The new modules from Mitsubishi Electric are expected to meet increasing market demands for TFT-LCDs that offer rugged resilience to extreme temperatures and strong vibrations.
