Olympus announces prototype wearable display-MEG4.0

Olympus today announced the development of prototype wearable display-MEG4.0. The Bluetooth equipped wearable display can be easily connected to smartphones with GPS and other wireless devices. The Olympus MEG4.0 wearable display can be used continuously for long periods of time thanks to the light weight, compact design and low power consumption. While using the display 100% field of view the outside world is maintained. This way the display doesn’t obstruct the view of the outside world. By using light of the display panel more efficiently high brightness is maintained.

Olympus MEG4.0 wearable display with QVGA resolution (320×240) with a 10cd/m2 – 2,000 cd/m2 brightness weighs 30g with battery. The battery life of 8 hrs.
