Chronos II from Pure Digital maintains the stylish design and aluminum facia that made the original so popular, but is now available in two colors, has an improved display, automatic light sensor and includes FM with RDS.Chronos II has plenty of bedside features, such as a large clock display, four independent alarms (each of which can be set for weekdays only, weekends only or as a one-off), a snooze timer and a sleep timer. The sleep timer fades out gently to avoid a rude awaking and the alarm volume fades up to ease users from sleep. The large, clear clock benefits from a light sensor which automatically adjusts the display brightness to suit the light levels in the room.
Pure Digital Chronos II has been designed to minimize environmental impact. It has a power consumption of less than 1W in standby and 2W in operation which is significantly lower than the industry average. All EcoPlus packaging is made from a minimum of 70% recycled material, finished with water based varnish, and documentation printed with soya-based ink on 100% recycled paper. Pure Digital Chronos II will be in the shops from the end of October 2007 at an SRP of $140.
