Samsung today announced the sale of its premium SUHD TV 82S9W designed by globally famous industrial designer Yves Behar. The product will be available in Korea from June 9. Samsung 82S9W TV is the highest premium model among Samsung’s SUHD TV lineups, in Korea and also first in the world. The Samsung 82S9W SUHD TV was given the CES Innovation Award at the CES 2015 held in Las Vegas early this year. Instead of being hung on the wall or standing at the corner of the room, this product can be placed anywhere at home.
With its screen being placed on top of a metal cube, the model gained reputation of upgrading TV design into an art form. With a 21:9-ratio 82-inch curved screen, the model is applied with the 21:9 automatic upscaling technology, thereby realizing unique color reproduction and offering impressive feeling of immersions. The Samsung 82S9W SUHD TV will be sold at major department stores in Korea starting from June 9 for approximately 25 million won ($22352).
