Samsung has decided to cut the price of its curved OLED TV by a whopping 34 percent, allowing more customers to purchase the premium TV. The new price for the Samsung curved 55-inch OLED TV will be 9.9 million won ($8890) from the previous 15 million won ($13475). The aggressive pricing policy is aimed at appealing to more consumers and leading the way in the OLED TV market. The price cut is due to low demand and improved manufacturing yields.

Samsung started selling the 55-inch curved OLED TV in Korea from June this year. The price cut will lead Samsung to establish a lead start over its rival LG in the heated race for OLED TVs. Samsung will compensate consumers who already bought the TV.
