Sharp announces Tablet with MEMS-IGZO display for the first time in industry

Sharp today unveiled a 7.0 tablet equipped with MEMS-IGZO display for the first time in industry. The MEMS-IGZO display on this tablet is a cutting-edge display jointly developed with Pixtronix, a subsidiary company of Qualcomm Incorporated. By integrating Pixtronix’s MEMS display technology and Sharp’s IGZO technology, it achieved further power efficiency and higher color reproducibility compared to standard LCD.
