Sony Commercializes World’s First TransferJet Compatible LSIs

Sony today announced the commercialization of two LSIs, CXD3267AGG and CXD3268AGW, for use in the close proximity wireless transfer technology TransferJet. TransferJet is a wireless data transfer technology featuring a highly intuitive interface that allows two devices to communicate simply by bringing them close together. The Sony CXD3267AGG and CXD3268AGW which Sony is introducing are LSIs that realize TransferJet close proximity wireless data transfer based on the technical specifications established by the TransferJet Consortium.


Sony is making available a reference kit and software development kit for developers. These kits facilitate the implementation of this technology into products such as cellular phones, digital video cameras, digital still cameras, personal computers and hard disk recorders. Sony is further enhancing its lineup with the release of three modules incorporating these new LSIs: a compact module for use in mobile products, a PCI Express Mini Card module for use in notebook PCs, and a USB connection module.
