DVIEW is a business card-sized small board PC is made by Recycling Used Mobile Phone LCD panels. Hokuto System Co Ltd, Japan has begun marketing the board PC from Nov 13, 2007.DVIEW integrates a CPU, a graphics LSI and a used mobile phone LCD panel. The DVIEW can run programs and display data on the LCD screen on its own without any other peripherals. The LCD panel is a 2.2-inch QVGA (320 x 240) resolution model. The DVIEW employed the “ARM7TDMI” core CPU. Maximum operating frequency is 81MHz. The memory device is 40-Kbyte SRAM. Compatible audio output formats include MP3, MIDI and ADPCM.

DVIEW also supports CMOS camera input and access to USB and an SD memory card, etc. Using an expansion board, the DVIEW can use USB or over a LAN as well. As such capabilities can be chosen in accordance with the application, pricing can be lowered if capabilities are reduced, DDL said.
