Samsung Galaxy Note 8 breaks first day order in Korea

Samsung started taking pre-orders for its new flagship smartphone Galaxy Note 8 in South Korea on Thursday and the combined preorders reached nearly 400,000 units on the first day, far outpacing its ill-fated predecessor Galaxy Note 7 – which managed preorders of 380,000 over a 13-day preorder period.

More customers in the US have preordered the Note 8 than any other Notes Samsung has ever sold in previous years during the same time period. Samsung may log more than a million preorders for the Note 8 in South Korea during the eight days it receives requests for purchase.
At $929, Galaxy Note 8 packs a hefty 6.3-inch display, 6GB of RAM and a double rear camera. techradar called it the “best big phone you can buy in their review.
