Elecon unveils compact active speakers

Elecon_ASP_SMP120Elecom a Japanese electronics company, headquartered in Osaka, Japan, today announced the launch of two folding models of compact active speakers, ASP-SMP120 and ASP-SMP220. While ball shaped ASP-SMP120 is powered with built in lithium polymer rechargeable battery, cube shaped ASP-SMP220 is powered by 3xAAA batteries. Both models come with built in amplifier and 50mm diameter speaker s. The speakers can be used without batteries also. The built in stereo mini cable can be connected to smart phones or portable audio players.

Elecon_ASP_SMP220ASP-SMP120 speakers have an average battery life of 5 hours and can be charged with the included USB cable. Charging time is about 2 hours. Since they have a frequency response of 100Hz~20 kHz, these speakers are able to play a broad range of frequencies. Each speaker measures approximately 90 × 90 × 94.8mm and weighs 179g. Length of the input cable is about 21cm. Elecom ASP-SMP120 and ASP-SMP220 compact active speakers come in five different colors.
