Rockridgessound Corporation Japan has unveiled a vacuum tube amplifier stereo system with speakers for iPod. The docking station VTS-384 for iPod adopts three EL84 vacuum tubes for left and right channels with push pull type speakers. With a frequency of 80Hz – 20kHz., a signal-noise ratio of 10Hz – 100kHz (±0dB, -5dB), and an output of 2W×2ch (8 Ω), Rockridgessoun VTS-384 plays out warm and clear sound using high quality vacuum tubes. The three inches diameter neodymium magnet drive speakers uses light weight material for the diaphragm.
The EL84 with stylish finish, aluminium knob for volume control and head phone/line out is powered by the supplied AC adaptor. You can connect external speakers also for play back. The Rockridgessound Corporation Vacuum tube analog amplifier measures 338×262×233mm and will be available in Japan from February 2007 for approximately 70000-80000 Yen ($600-$690).
