Sony today announced CMT-V10 new speaker dock for Walkman. In addition to the WM-Port Walkman, the dock comes with built in CD player and FM / AM tuner. The Dock for Walkman adopts an retractable design for space saving when not using. You can record directly from the CD to walkman with the touch of a button. About 1.4 times normal speed dubbing is possible to Walkman from CD. Recording format is MP3 128kbps.
Sony CMT-V10 is equipped with a full range of 80mm diameter speaker unit. Also have four different sound effects. Power consumption is (0.5W standby) 13W. Sony CMT-V10 measures approximately 400 × 114 × 197mm and weighs about 2.4kg. Remote control is included. The dock with 5W × 2ch output is available in three colors-Black, White and Pink. Sony CD / Dock speaker CMT-V10 will be available in Japan from October 20 for approximately 20,000 yen ($256).
