Casio announced today the release of the IT-G400 series of handheld terminals running on Android 6.0. Using the open platform provided by Android 6.0, the new Casio IT-G400 series will allow users to more easily customize their apps for their particular type of operation. The series also enables users to access Google Mobile Services (GMS) in addition to the standard commercial apps, and supports Google official APIs for Google Play, Google Maps, and other Google platforms and services. This will greatly enhance convenience for users by allowing them to check their destinations using Google Maps or sending operation reports using Gmail.
The new Casio handheld terminals with scratch-resistant specialty glass, can withstand a drop from 1.5 meters. The new Casio IT-G400 series of handheld terminals running on Android 6.0 come with C-MOS imager that reads bar codes and two-dimensional codes quickly and accurately. The new models feature a big 5-inch 5.0-inch transmissive color TFT LCD (720×1280 pixels) touchscreen, a large-capacity 5800-mAh rechargeable battery, and support for LTE voice calls and data transmission, to ensure efficient operations. The handheld terminal measures approx. 80×155×23mm and weighs 325g.
