The Fujitsu MB95200 series is an extension of the popular Fujitsu F²MC-8FX family of 8-bit microcontrollers. The new Fujitsu MB95200 series includes a complete range of single-chip standard microcontrollers with between 8 and 24 pins, powered by an optimized core and featuring low-leakage technology and embedded flash. Fast processing capabilities and low power consumption position the MB95200 series as an excellent design choice for appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, ovens, smoke detectors, vacuum cleaners and air conditioning units. The microcontrollers are embedded with Fujitsu’s high-reliability, high-performance flash memory that can be rewritten 100,000 times and is guaranteed to hold data for 20 years. A flash security function protects the customer’s software from being read by unauthorized external programs.

The MCUs are also ideal for cordless phones and remote controls, shavers and other handheld consumer products, as well as aftermarket automotive accessories. The Fujitsu MB95200 series is available now in SOP8/DIP8, SOP16/DIP16 and SOP20/DIP24 packages. Prices range from $0.35 to $0.70 in 10,000-unit quantities depending on packaging and memory sizes.
