LG Display has commenced mass production at its second 8th generation plant P8E (Extension) in Paju Display Cluster. P8E will primarily manufacture 32-, 47- and 55-inch TV LCD panels from its 2,200mm X 2,500mm glass substrates. Production began in May with initial monthly capacity of 30,000 input sheets. LG Display will flexibly adjust the ramp-up speed according to market conditions and steadily build up its monthly capacity to 120,000 input sheets by the year’s end. LG Display expects that the start of production at P8E will enhance its ability to respond to strong market demands and achieve mutual growth with its customers.
