Panasonic Develops New System LSI for Mobile Phones

Panasonic announced today that it has developed a new system LSI for mobile phones by applying its second-generation Integrated Platform for Digital Appliances. The new LSI MN2CS0035 model can greatly improve the playing time of SD audio and the graphic processing performance on mobile handsets. The new Panasonic LSI MN2CS0035 model has the following features:


High-performance AV media processing technology and 2D/3D graphics technology based on the ARM CPU core, multimedia processor, and dedicated graphics engine;, and low power consumption technology with multiple power reduction mechanisms; and Security technology that has realized robust security function by employing a CPU secure mode and variable cipher systems. Panasonic will commence shipping product samples in December 2006.
