Starting this month, Sanyo will begin taking orders for two formats of new professional use air purification systems for duct-type air conditioners: the Duct Chamber Incorporated and Air Handling Unit Incorporated air purification systems. With a duct-type air conditioning system, air heated or cooled by the air conditioning unit is circulated through the facility using ducts. The Duct Chamber Incorporated format cleans building air with a disinfectant element unit and is installed inside a duct chamber (box-like unit used for combining and diverting air flows). The Air Handling Unit Incorporated format cleans building air with a disinfectant element unit and is installed inside an air handling unit (a large air conditioning unit).

With these two new formats, it is no longer necessary to have multiple air purification units, as was required with conventional stationary types. The machinery room installation location makes it easier to perform maintenance, eliminating any inconvenience caused to visitors to the building. These products can be used in buildings ranging in size from theaters and halls to large commercial facilities.
