Sunstar manufacturer of stationery for office home use and stationery featuring Disney characters, has released a new pen-scissors hybrid product that is aimed at Japanese women who often find they need a pair of scissors when out of the office or away from home—cutting coupons, for example, or separating purikura pictures to give to friends. The sharp edges of the scissors are concealed under the pen cap for safe storage, with a built-in clip making the product easy to attack to a pocket or bag. While the scissors portion of the product is small, the manufacturer says the blade is made from high-quality materials. There are 8 types total, 4 with patterns printed on them. 525 yen ($6.35).
