Xiaomi announces MiJia Smart Sneakers with Intel inside

Xiaomi today announced another pair of advanced shoes called MiJia Smart Sneakers. The new MiJia Smart Sneakers are embedded with an Intel Curie Module chip to track user’s movements. The new smart shoes feature an innovative sole design for better cushioning. The light weight Intel Curie Module chip is placed into a midsole and “wakes up” every time user moves the shoe. The chip senses whether you are running or just strolling and calculates the distance covered in a day. It records users’ average speed and calories burned also. All the reports are available in the app. The water- and dust-resistant chip draws power from a single button cell.

The sole of sports shoe is plays a very important role while buying them. Proper and comfortable sole helps to run faster pain-free. Keeping this in mind, the new MiJia Smart Sneakers has a slight bend in the toe area which allows pushing with less effort to make a move. The EVA-foam in the sole cushions the step and provides balance to the foot and the highly supportive midsole gives stability.

Dividing the shoe sole into upper and lower segments allows it to bend with a natural motion of the foot. MiJia Smart Sneakers are available for women and men in different colors with the same common features. A knitted synthetic mesh allows the foot to breathe and not sweat. The inside of the shoes has an antibacterial insole. The outer part of the heel has reflective elements for enhanced visibility on the road in the evening.
