Ricoh today announced the Hello Kitty Full HD DLP home theater projector for Hello Kitty fans. The limited edition Hello Kitty projector PJ HDC5420HK will be available for sale on Hello Kitty’s birthday i.e. on November 1. Ricoh will start accepting orders from September 9 and the price is approximately 128,000 yen ($1074). Ricoh plans to sell the limited 1000 pieces in Japan and China.
The top side of projector is decorated with Hello Kitty face and red ribbon which will be in 3D. The kit contains Hello Kitty special remote control, dedicated carrying bag, cables etc. The projector employs a 0.55-inch / 1,920 × 1,080 dot DLP panel of (single-panel), the input signal corresponding to the maximum 1,920 × 1,080 dot. Light source is a high-pressure mercury lamp of 260W, brightness 2,500 lumens, and contrast ratio of 9,000: 1. Projection distance is from 0.7m to 9.6m, projection size is 30-300 type. At 2.4m it can throw in a 100-inch size.
There is Video input HDMI × 2 (1 lines MHL compatible), S video, composite, analog RGB (D-Sub 15 pin) also includes each one system. Voice input / output is equipped with a stereo mini, also built-in speaker of the output 10W. RS-232C terminal and USB mini connector (Type B) and I provided.
The projector measures 314 × 224 × 92mm, weighs 3kg and comes with four different type of Hello Kitty top covers.
