Sharp to supply solar power generation systems for Aeon Mall Phnom Penh in Cambodia

Aeon_mall_cambodiaSharp has received an order from the Aeon Group to supply solar power generation systems for Aeon Mall Phnom Penh in Cambodia. This is the Aeon Group’s first shopping mall in Cambodia and is slated to open in late June of this year. Aeon Mall Phnom Penh is currently under construction by the Aeon Group near Diamond Island in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. It will be one of the largest malls in the country. Sharp will provide two solar power generation systems. One will be installed in the open-air café zone in the center of the mall and will comprise 290 see-through solar modules (approx. 27.5 kW) and balance of plant (BOP).

Untitled-8The other system will be installed in the bicycle parking area on the east side of the mall and will comprise 809 crystalline solar modules (approx. 198.2 kW) and BOP. This will be the first time for Sharp’s see-through solar modules to be installed in a facility overseas. Total output from the systems will be approximately 225.7 kW, and the generated power will be used for lighting and air conditioning within the mall.
