The Construction and Transportation Ministry, Korea has announced a mass recall of over 68,000 Renault Samsung SM5 cars citing production flaws that cause the engines to give out while driving. The models falling under the recall are the SM5 LPLi sedans sold between July 2005 and December 2007 and the newer Impression model sold between June and August last year.
Owners of these models will be entitled to free repairs at Renault Samsung auto service centers starting Jan. 23.
