Mitsubishi Electric has received an order for Japan’s largest digital signage system from Narita International Airport, comprising a total of 340 display units including two pairs of 330-inch screens, an unprecedented concave organic light-emitting display (OLED) screen and multiple touch-screen displays. Partial operation is scheduled to begin in March 2012 and full operation by that summer. Narita International Airport, under an initiative to enhance customer convenience, is upgrading its digital signage system with user-friendly, easy-to-view displays and dynamic visual advertising.
Core features of the system include: • Two pairs of 330-inch LCD display systems, each side consisting of 24 46-inch panels, Panorama Vision, the world’s first 180-degree OLED concave screen, featuring high-brightness and high-contrast and approximately 100 user stations comprising multiple LCD touch-screen displays.
