Activelink, a Panasonic group company, is pursuing its research and development towards breaking down the walls of age, gender and physical strength to create a barrier-free society. Last month, Activelink announced the industry’s first hybrid walking assistive device, the POWERLOADER light PLL-04, nicknamed the NINJA. The NINJA offers both active walking assistive control as well as passive walking control. As the wearer starts to walk, the motor assists the wearer, and the legs move forward naturally while walking.
With just two motors, it has a simple design, offering both high power with low energy consumption. Activelink has sought feedback for its powered exoskeleton from a professional walker.
