Casio announces shock-resistant Baby-G watches for women with Neon Illuminator

Casio announced the release of new additions to the Baby-G line of shock-resistant watches for women. The new BGA-170 watches feature numerals of varying sizes and heights that appear to be floating delightfully above the dial. These eye-popping new Baby-G watches are equipped with Neon Illuminator, which uses a black light LED to activate special luminous ink on watchface elements like the dial and numerals. The numerals are arranged to evoke layers of coral on a reef. With the rhythmical placement of numbers of varying sizes at different heights, the design conveys a feeling of depth. The numerals were realized using translucent resin combined with special luminous ink, creating a delightful floating appearance in the dark when activated by the built-in black light LED.


Based on a marine resort theme, the new watches boast a large sporty bezel. The watches come in colors such as white, turquoise, and yellow that suggest colorful tropical fish on a coral reef. They are a refreshing complement to any beach fashion. Moreover, with the tough shock- and water-resistance that Baby-G is known for, these watches are ready for water sports as well as everyday life.
