Drunken man kicks a Pepper robot in a fit of rage and gets arrested in Japan

A drunken 60-year-old man was arrested for allegedly kicking a Pepper robot in a fit of rage at a SoftBank store, police said. According to the Kanagawa Prefectural Police, Kiichi Ishikawa from Yokosuka entered the local SoftBank branch Sunday morning and kicked a Pepper there. Security footage shows the drunken Ishikawa kicking the robot. The damaged Pepper now moves slower and that its internal computer system may have been broken.

Kiichi Ishikawa has admitted to damaging property, saying he did not like the attitude of a store clerk. The clerk was not injured, the police said.
